Review

The Callaway Pro XS is Callaway’s flagship model and is designed to compete with the top rangefinders out there. We’ve tested all of the best golf range finders, and the Pro XS definitely holds its own with the best of them. The Pro XS features slope technology, which measures the incline or decline of the angle to the target. It then uses this angle to calculate a much more accurate slope adjusted measurement. A couple of features provide the ability to more accurately lock into distances to the pin.

Pin Acquisition Technology (or P.A.T.) makes it so you can lock into the pin at a range of up to 400 yards. Prism Mode makes it so pins with mounted reflectors are quickly and easily locked in. The high-resolution OLED display was one of the best displays we’ve ever tested. It was bright, clear and very easy to read. The Tour S has a lot of really great features and some very nice technology. It is well built, and feels like a very high quality product in the hand. A combination of its features and how it looks and feels make this one of our favorite golf distance finders ever.

The Callaway 300 Pro can compete with some of the higher end models, and it has some great features that we really liked. It features slope technology to provide more accurate slope-adjusted measurements. It also has a scan mode that allows you to quickly get multiple distances of hazards and other obstacles, one right after the other. Another cool feature is that not only can it lock onto a pin from up to 300 yards away, it also vibrates when it’s locked in. The vibration verifies that the device is indeed locked onto the pin and that the displayed measurement is accurate.

We found the vibration to be reassuring and somehow satisfying as well. One of our favorite features of the 300 Pro is the Magnahold, which are integrated magnets that stick to any of the golf cart bars. This allows you to conveniently and quickly grab and store the rangefinder. When we tested this feature in particular, we were blown away at the convenience of just being able to stick it to the golf cart bar. It was so easy and fast to grab it for a quick measurement and then put it back. I’m telling you, this was a REALLY cool feature.

The Callaway 300 Pro was a really great tool. It is lightweight and compact and has several nice features that we really liked. Its quality and performance make it easy to give this excellent product our full endorsement.

Review

The Micro Pro Laser Rangefinder is another quality yardage finder that can compete with some of the highest end range finders while being half the size. It was very accurate and consistent. Pin Locking Technology is a feature that allows you to lock on to the pin from up to 300 yards away.

This is one of the only high end rangefinders on the market that can easily and comfortably fit in your pocket. And like other high end finders, it is very precise and accurate, and provides measurements very quickly.
